Clio Sport 197 Central locking problem

Hi Everyone,

This is my first post,

I have a 2007 clio sport 197,

First thing in the morning the central locking does not always want to work, as if the car is not detecting the key card
i have changed the batteries in both the cards but it makes no difference, surely i cant have two faulty cards?
annoyingly when i do get in, (usually after tugging on the door handle several times) there isnt a problem for the rest of the day
i dont suppose it could be down to cold & damp weather condtions?

any clues ?
