Clio sport mk1 headlamps.....

I own a Clio Grande and want to upgrade my lights to the same ones as the sport models have, I ordered a pair from andyspares yesterday, so should have them within the next couple of days. I was just wondering as I know that these don’t go straight in and work as some work needs to be done on the wiring.

Does anyone know whether it can be done by myself or whether I need to get it done by a professional. If someone has instructions on how to rewire them it would be a great help as my m8 is an electrician.

um, if your swapping to HID lights, your gona need the whole light/bulb/converter blah blah blah............expensive stuff!

i went to a bloke who fixes up salvaged clios and i asked him bout them lights, he said the wiring looms need to be split as there are two bulbs instead of one, i think you lose any warranty you might have on them tho. They look good though, i;m gona do it as soon as i can afford it. I wouldnt attempt it.?

Ok I got the headlamps this morning they look mint, im thinking about just fitting them and only driving around during the day, until I can get the wiring bit sorted. It’s all good!

Anyone got any information about the wiring bit as I aint got a clue what to do; I did read a while back about a converter that plugs in-between the lamps and the car. Ill have a look for it.

I paid £45 each from andyspares, in total with vat and delivery it came to £115. Really quick delivery very pleased.

I have a few queries tho, the headlmaps came with the sidelights and indicator bulbs, and thats it, no full beam or diped beam bulbs! I was wondering wether my old ones will work in the new headlamps or will i have to buy some new ones from powerbulbs?

I found out that dipped beam are HB3 and full beam are H7.

so do i have to buy new ones???

Im having trouble getting hold of the hb3 bulbs anyone know where I can buy these from? halfords ripspeed, net????

Its well worth changing the lights and adding fogs.

Im wanting to do the same thing to my clio! Has anyone else done it?
IMO it needs to be done!
