Clio sport ph1 172 misfire

  clio ph1, 330d
Evening everyone, i hope someone can shed some light on my current situation.
I have bought clio 172 for track use and maybe road it i can make it road legal, not actually driven the car before just put it in the garage. since buying it i have replaced the spark plugs, water pump, belt tensioner, v-belt and timing belt complete with dephaser pulley and engine oil + filter. I have used the renault tool for the timing belt etc. since doing the job i have just given it a quick run down the road and its coughs at 4500rpm and back fires some times. I am now a little confused as to what i could have done, can someone perhaps shed some light and help me out? it will also stutter on the spot if revd at 4500rpm and then pass it no problem. not sure if the car had it before but it didnt appear to miss fire when revd before.

Also are the front subframes prone to corroding badly?

Dont matter now, its fixed was the new spark plugs for some reason. put the originals back in and it now revs right through no problem

My car worked OK on Bosch Super 4s TBH, but they did not last anything near as long as the NGK Platinums have in previous cars.

However, I have had issues with NGKs before. The issue seems to be with where they are made and this seems to be from a supplier POV. As a rule of thumb the Japanese ones are fine. The ones made in France (and in moulded plastic packaging) seemed to cause me the issues. My Triumph Stag had the same issues as yours until I bought NGKs (albeit pricier than the initial batch (£12 vs £15)) from a motor factor I have used for years. The misfire completely went.

FWIW mine seems to be fine on the PFR10s.

I swapped them like for like but the new set was acting up so. Put the originals back in and it's fine. Strange you would expect plugs to be ok when new. They was NGK R plugs
