Clio sport phase 1 keyfob and imobilser issue

Hey guys I'm pretty new on the site but need some major help! Basically I own a 172 clio sport on a 51 plate, about 2 weeks ago I dropped my key fob twice in a row and broke it the button wouldn't click just went down, anyway thought nothing of it just no central locking... Little was I wrong since then starting the car is a mission its self the RED LED flashes like mad and drains the battery!! Had an auto electrican out he ran a diognostic check all was clear said it was the battery in the fob or the fob its self. Now what do I do from here?? I need my car as I'm now riding 18 miles to work. What's the costs and times of the work? And anyone in stoke who can help me? Thanks Dan

You must have a late ph1 did you open the key?. It sounds like you have lost the transporter chip.
Hence the immob light doesnt go out.
Key is renault only i expect and also programming.
You may get one cut from a key cutting shop.

Open the key up and check for broken solder connections. May just be a case of resoldering and all is good again, otherwise it's an expensive trip to renault for a new key.
