clio trip computer???

  m-tec bmw 325 ci spo
how gd is this computer it rekons i got 60 miles left in the tank and its nearly in the red should i trust what it ses?

  BMW E46 330i Touring
Wouldn't trust it too much, it reckons I can do over 300 miles of in town driving on a full tank in mine... no chance!

It's considered that you have a gallon of fuel left once the light comes on, approx 30 miles, so if you're almost at the red line then 60 could be about right...

what he said ^^^^^^ , dont risk it as you get to around 30miles left and the trip does blank out .

Computers very good the tank sensors the probelm I never let it run down so the red light ever is visiable.

Its accurate often to about 1 liter or 9 miles or so.

so fill up when it goes to about 20 miles left it rekons i was getting 46mpg yesterday which i doubt

  ex Clio 172 owner :(
I usually fill up when it says 40 miles left.

Plus I'm one of these old folky 'fill up before you use all the crud in the bottom of your tank' people.

In truth, with modern fuel, I doubt this is really neccessary.

nah the trips comps alright but i dont 100% take notice of it, although the fuel gauge is a joke on new renaults on my clio it depends how much petrol u got in by how much of an hill ur on same in my dads Laguna V6 its a joke, on my dads old Laguna 2.0 16v RXE the fuel gauge was jaeguar and was really reliable and accurate but on our to cars it goes up and down like a yo yo
