Clio V6 Airbox

Guys,

I have a clio V6 Airbox .. What do people do about Air inlet, and also what do you do with the original ait intake and the choke or air flow meter thing ...

it seem sto be a bit slugish untill 5k revs aswell then at 5k seems like its turbo'd or sumting (Exaggerating a bit) is this normal/ somthing to do with the air intake.

Cheers

Airbox has no sensors on it. It's a housing for the filter.

I left mine bare so there was no outside world feed .. lots more noise !!

I found it to be very fruity over 4k but below that sluggish almost .. putting the standard box on meant more low down punch but not so exciting the rest of the time.

are you talking about a 1*2? if so the sensor by the horn will be the acoustic valve, does nothing other than try and reduce induction noise. Not needed if you've replaced the airbox. And I presume you've got the Espace V6 / Ph1 172 style airbox? If so no real airfeed needed as it draws in from behind the headlight. I used a little silicone hose to extend it further behind the headlight a little like the Maxogen style.

then assuming it's the Espace V6 box then remove the acoustic valve and original cold air feed you'll be fine as they're not needed.

There are several guides for removing them so best to search and all the info can be found

Yea i did remove then was concerned about what it actually did so put it back in but seems to be running sluggish .... time to take it back out..
