clio v6

I defy anyone to drive a v6 clio and not want one.I test drove one at my local dealership and then had never wanted a car so much.I couldnt sleep until i got one.Ive owned faster cars and better handling cars but not better sounding or looking.People might say the clio is too expensive but i do not know of a car this side of 40 grand that i would want that could replace it. I havent seen another one on the road yet,but if i did i would sh*t myself. What an awsome car.Ill maybe never sell it.

ditto ^^^^^^

Ive driven one and it eclipses everything Ive ever driven for all round WOW

a Scooby and Honda S2000 seemed very dull in comparison

a V is not just about raw speed!

What other Alonso "Goodies" did you get too??

The comp was a while ago now but seem to remember there was some other things that came as the prize too??

It should be great when you come to sell it too with Alonsos name signed in the car.

Well done mate.

With my brother owning a MK1 V6 a love em to bits!!!!!! Just looking at one every morning puts a grin on my face.... Yes the 172s /182s may be simular performance on the road but for the first time my brother let me have a go in his one..... Now im only 18 but OMG!!!!!!!!!!! I would cut me b****x of for one of these!!!!!! The looks u get and that noise! I had a fun size all the way ..... I was happily driving it at 3000rpm no higher, and he said "what r u doing???" i said what? he goes u will give me a bad reputation, floor it!!! ":D ok!!!" I was on a private runway cough bollox cough, and just ate up this mx5 and spat him bk out again.... How any one can compare these cars with any other clio or type R i dont know????

In a league of its own!!!!!

Cheers for the drive bruv

I cant think of a car this side of £20k that I would rather own over a V6.

But this side of £40k - Sorry but I can honestly think of plenty.

This side of £30k - Id rather have a VX220 Turbo. No contest.

Im afraid its no good talking about V6s spitting out an MX-5, even my old Vectra could do that. same goes for comparing with "any other clio or type R", they are £10k cheaper. For the money the V6 is totally outclassed by the VX, its just not in the same league for performance and handling.

Of course for the same price as the VX and V6 you can get thishttp://www.radicalmotorsport.com/gallery/sr4_4.JPG.......

We are all fit young men, no problem gettin in and out of sports cars! So long as you can support your body weight using your arms its a piece of cake!

You only see complaints about this in the press because the average motoring journalist/person who can afford a sports car has seen better days!

Remember twerps like Clarkson dont even know how to recline the seats on a 182 and this is one of Britains most well known and experienced motoring journalists!!!!

toypop,

fair enough that the VX is quicker and handles well, but its a hairdressers car...end of story. it doesnt have the beast image that the clio V6 carries, and im sorry but it doesnt have the head turning capability either. only car enthusiasts will know what it is, and it doesnt stand out in a full car park or traffic jam. my hat goes off to vauxhall for making a good car, and its seriously fast, but i still wouldnt buy one over a clio v6.

jim172cup - thats me on that link mate. i own powerfiat, have seen you on there along with paddymph. you into coupes?

Audi TT

.....thats just your opinion mate, and that fine, you buy what you want to buy with your £25k.... and I will buy what I want to too....:D

The VX is a great car, but not one that I would want, I just dont like it, its as simple as that.

yeah my mate has a 20vt and i love the look of the coupe and third gear :devilish: Id own one if i could leave it outside my house. and if the turning circle was better, parallel parking would be a nightmare in it outside my house lol

Same again, I thought about one cos they are so quick... but that thought only lasted about 30 seconds after seeing how uncompromising they are! Specially for considering as every day transport. Be good for a sunny track day tho... but thats just IMO.

Thanks GirlRacer, and I only had time to wash it and dry it off with a chammy (no wax), oh and blacked the tyres.

Must get round to waxing it soon...:D

Simon, we need some more pics of your car.. there arent enough quality pics of it in that colour anywhere else. Looks stunning sitting there... agree with girlracer on that one!:D

lol.. well at least uve driven them! ;)

Thats cool tho, not everyone is suited to own a V6 or Ferrari...etc Whats good 4 u, is what u buy! Enjoy what ever u got tho.. :) The V6 is amazing tho.. luv it.

For me it was its looks, although the attention it got was a bit annoying ( when your an old git ), and that different feeling of being pushed along instead of being pulled along. ( does that sound weird? )

Thats just in your opinion mate.

In my opinion and the opinion of the test drivers of Evo magazine the V6 far outclasses the VX.:)
