I changed my air filter the other day on my '95 RSi with F3P engine (drum shaped air filter) and I noticed the vacuum hose that should be clipped to the top of the airbox is missing.
What does this do and where has it gone? Could it be making my idle run rough?
Thanks for this Pinky! When I start the car the revs go from 950 down to 500 ish and up and down again until it sorts itself out after about 5 mins and is ok until you start up the car again. Like you say nearly stalls.
Thought this was a faulty O2 sensor. Is the hose connected to this instrument?
Could I just get one from a scrappy or is there a procedure for removal?
Think one end goes to the carbon cannister and the other somewhere near the fuel rail.
should be little plastic things they clip onto..thats how they are on mk2 ph 1& 2 in anycase. Yeah I would try the scrappy.
Also make sure it cant drop onto the fly wheel as it is a bit choppy.
Hope this is of some help.
Tried the scrappy but all the clios had a differnet layout of engine to mine. My friends automati 1.2 (?) has this hose but the end coming off the air filter box goes nowhere.
