For the last week ive been looking for a phase 1 to track and sprint, but a Clio Williams has come to my attension.

Will this be a good car to track, are they quick and can you do much to them to make them better??

I think a ph1 would make more sense as a track car as you're getting a less aged/tired car for the money... for £1500-2000 you could get a fairly decent ph1, a Williams would just be a shed for that money.

I've got a williams you can have for £1000.

Its got cams etc in it, casmbelt is about 6 months old, got 172 complete brake setup on it etc etc.

Bodywork is bad which is why its cheap.

for the money a ph1 172 is hard to beat imo. williams for 1600 ish is going to be pretty rotten, and they arent as quick out the box either, iv had a williams and now have a ph1 172. dont get me wrong i loved my williams but you need to buy a good one and they cost £££££ where as a ph1 can be had for peanuts and are great cars.

Its not rotten, nowhere near rotten in fact. but the prick who owned it before me made a complete fcuk up of machine polishing it. The wheels have been painted the wrong gold and the tailgate is rusty. The front bumper has been turned into a quick release effort with two aero catches on it either end.

Shame :(

I keep looking at top end 4-5k ones and really really fancy another, then I remember everything I went though with them and simply can't be arsed again!
