Clio wont start when parked in the Sun

Good day to you all

A friend has a 1.2 8v clio ( year 2000 )and when he parks in the sun for a long period of time the car just doesn't start.......he has to remove the computer's plug besides the air filter many times and then it starts :S

when parked in the garage or a tented place the car just starts fine

Any idea ???

As above, it could be the coolant temp sensor thats faulty.

I have a coolant temp sensor somewhere, from a 1.2 16v same as the 172 aswell, May fit?
