Clio's etc @ Castle Combe Track Day 22/04/06

Excellent turnout today for the Perfomance Track Day, loads of Clio's on track and parked in the various car parks...

Big crowds as always, some heroic (and mad) driving, and a fantastic spin from one of the Williams'. Good day, I got bloody burnt too by the looks of things!

Had to pick some jaws off the floor when we seen that thing! Looked stunning. Some great cars there today, VTEC engined Mini (insanely quick), some little Jap thing putting out 300bhp (Starlet? I forget), several P1s and loads more.

Yeah that was quite a car, went straight to your ear drums! Were you there with your Dad today? Haven't seen him about for ages.

No was on my own he was working, been moved to chippenham reno garage now so he leaves earlier in the morn not happy about it tho as its more miles on the trophy!

Ah right, thats why I don't see the Trophy anymore then! Was worried he'd sold it or something. Suprised I didn't see you actually as I managed to bump into everyone else I knew that was attending. We did a couple laps (on foot!) of the circuit and spent a fair bit of time at Quarry Corner and looking around the Paddock

Spotted your car today, several XXX CUP's there today actually. Hard to tell who the owners are though so we didn't speak to many. Spotted Neil G's car from here too but couldn't see anyone about near it.

One of the Cups was going really well on the circuit, think it was the HLO one pictured above. Passed most things it caught up with without too much trouble including a Boxster. Didn't see the Cossie roll, did see the Williams spin when they were really pushing them in the afternoon, nearly held onto it but ran out of track in the end. He got a big clap and cheer from the crowd though!

yes i saw that 2, thats the good thing about the action days at combe, they are always very entertaining, yes i was parked in the paddock area on club gti stand and i did see yours at some point during the day. it was nice to see the cups doing quite well out there as all my m8s own cossies and its always nice to show them its not all about power

I popped in about 4ish on my way back from swindon, passed a sport leaving who put his hand up, and 03 HGG with the yellow tow eye looked good on track. Was at Camp for about an hour, silver 182 parked up there too.

Spotted loads of you Clios about, A19 CUP yours looked great.

Rolling cossie, both me and a mate missed it due to taking pics of the drifting Omega, mate caught the cossie spin but not roll. Gutting for the owner as if it hadnt have gone that far in the feild and found the ploughed bit he would have been fine

the starlet that was there chris is a mate from shepton....yeah its now pushing 300bhp...the evo it was chasing is his aswell....
