ive got 17s doesnt look to bad running 205 40s
but cant really lower it much if atall put 205 45s on once rubbed with just me in the car ..

Before i fitted the new pepper pots, i had 17 inch BSA alloys fitted

My 172 had 17s on it when i bought it. My arch liners are ripped to pieces and that was on standard springs.

Mot to mention they look f**king stupid on 17s

17s look fine, fill the arches
15s or smaller look like your driving on Jaffacakes
Even if lowered looks far to small..

mines lowered 60mm running 205/40s without any rubbing even when fully loaded.also got some 80mm springs to fit for the back.
think people that are getting problems with it rubbing is due to using the wrong offset wheels

Imo ph2 clios dont suit 17s. That purple/blue thing doesnt look tooo bad.

my old 1.2 was on apex 60mm springs

Looks and handled terrible on 17s tho. Its all about the 15s

than standard 16s with 195 45s i think they are
just a bit wider...
Less tyre more rim no probs atall

You will find that was the s**t apex springs causing the problem not your wheels

How can one 205 be different from another 205 if they are both 205 :s

I hate clio's on 17" wheels.

As people have said. Jamie (Jesus) is the only person I've seen pull it off on a Mk2.

I think, say you have 205 40.
Take the 205 then the 40 is Worked out of a percentage
or in relation to the 205.
So 195 40 will be less because you work off 195 insted of 205.
like i say im not a 100% on this just sure it was what i was told
