I've another.. Was playing last night with shadow, light, exposure times, and after 6 attempts.. Got this.

Awesome, really nice and sharp too.

God its gonna be hard to beat some of those entries. I had a wee trawl trying to find the right picture , stumbling along the way on a couple shagging in the car (i parked next to them and got out with the camera lol i bet they wondered what was going on)

Thought I would have a go at this for a change

A few possibilities, not sure of entry yet...

I'm hopeless at converting to B&W, I can visualise what I want but just can't actually convert it properly.

I can relate to that... I am ashamed to say that I get better results setting the camera to take B&W photos than doing it in PP.

Nice shots above though, very fitting with the classic cars. The composition of the second one makes it best of the bunch.

IMO best way to work towards a b&w photo is firstly to understand how oloured filters work in b&w photography, and then take your photos with a filter to use in mind. Then in CS3 use the pre-defined filter options and you will normally get the result you wanted

CS3 use the pre-defined filter options and you will normally get the result you wanted

CS3 is much better than cs2 for black and white as it has an adjust black and white mode, allowing you to select the type of contrast etc and whether you want to adjust the chanels

no it means only one of them is black and white (monochrome) and the others are tinted (duochrome) which isnt allowed in the comp, I checked lol
