Clock

Hi all, wife has got a 2010 Clio mark 3 with Tom Tom sat nav. Today the screen went blank and then came back on but clock displays ———-. Tried resetting and setting the clock with the remote control. Also took so card out and tried updating. Any ideas?

Weird, mine is a 2011 MK3 Clio and the exact same thing happened to me about 7 days ago. I haven't figured out how to sort it and can't set the time. Odd coincidence...

The short answer is the TomTom uses a 10 bit chip that stores the week number and has overflowed and gone back to 0. A detailed explanation is in post 16 on this thread

I would hope TomTom will issue a fix, but for anyone with the relevant experience, there is a suggested fix documented towards the bottom. Bear in mind there are different releases of the TomTom software, so read the worthwhile reading the whole thread.

Haha that's unfortunate. I did think it might not be a coincidence. Funny to see us all have the same issue at the same time. Thanks for the thread, very useful. I'll give the fix a go (or more likely, wait 3 months for it to think it's 2007 and start working again)
