Doesnt RMS mean 'Root Mean Squared'? Cant remember, and cant be assed to google.

yeh RMS is route mean squared,
In electronics terms:
To find peak from RMS multiply by root 2
To find RMS from peak divide by root 2

However a lot of the time these calcs don't work for audio because makers use something called PMPO wich is really a made up term to make things seem better than they really are.

Only really wanna look at the RMS wattage as unless ur gonna wire them up to an amplifier, then the PMPO/Peak wattage will never be reached

i just wanted to be in the know bout it all,i want to get a dvd head unit and 2 screens for my headrest using my speakers sub and amp,but really its just for my on knowledge as i dnt unerstand how it all works and stuff wiv crossovers etc
