I get an unusual clunky noise when going through the motion of the gears whilst the car is off. Anyone get anything similar? I've had this noise since I've bought the car 2nd hand, however my mates 172 doesn't make this noise.
I've serviced the gearbox oil and that hasn't changed the note. I've heard it in other manual cars. Just wondering what it could be.
Audio/youtube video can be made if required for diagnosis.
Could it be a gearbox mounting? how would I check this if so.
