Clunking noise on pull away and low speed gear change. Ideas?

It is as if something is moving when I pull away. I had a similar problem before which turned out to be the wishbone balljoint, but im sure I replaced them both sides in the last 12 months!

p.s. To check the wishbone bushes do you need to disconnect it from the hub and then check for play?

Probably the one under the Battery... Had the same thing on mine, just needs tightening up.

I have just been out for a drive and it seems that the problem also occurs under steering....

top mounts. Bearings inside become warped and go from being round and create an edge which can cause failure. Best way imo is to whip them off and check. Knocking noise sounds as if it is a mount. Although ball joint could be a possiblity.
