Clutch & Accelerator Cables!

My clutch pedal seems to lose tension with the clutch pretty often now. I think the cable is getting caught or the spring is useless and not adjusting properly. I sometimes put my foot down & it is slack untill right at the bottom where it will work, then itll pop back and have tension again, or work as usuall. Any1 know what this is? ITS NOT A WORN CLUTCH!

Accelerator pedal has always been notchy, will new cable fix it?

i think thats a worn self adjuster on the pedal dont think there expensive

Wasnt there a problem with the 16V pedals. The early ones. I may be thinking of another clio. But it makes the cable and bits wear quicker. You can get a whole new assembly for £100

Is a self adjuster an adapted spring Adi?

I had the same problem and it was a worn self adjuster. I think the new pedal was £26 from renault.

its like a ratchet mechanism which doesnt always engage properly when worn

I paid £21 from Reno for the pedal assembly.

Whats fitting a new accelarator cable like?

Mines very notchy so im gonna have a go at the weekend. Thanks
