Clutch Gone...!?

Well cant say im too surprised?

Car had been juddering when pulling away for around 3 months (done it when I bought it)

Tonight, on the way home I approach a round about, put the clutch in (feels abit lighter then usual) pull away in 1st and just hear a light crrrrrshhhhhhhh noise when pulling away.

It changes gear alright, but on the way into my driveway the crrrrssshhhh noise is even more evident and the car doesnt really want to move unless I just give it some! It bloody stank aswell

any signs of tears on the clutch cable? slights tears makes the cable longer which then makes the clutch lighter?????

When you press the clutch it is that when the noise happens?

Its when you let the clutch go (to engage in gear) the noise appears for a second or so.

I havent had a look at the clutch cable, I got back late last night

If the clutch plates are shot then it'll be slipping.

Above sounds like the cable... I'm worried though as mine occasionally judders a bit!

Clutch was shattered!

The material on the clutch was twisted and had actually come away from the clutch unit itself...

Shouldnt have really driven.
