Clutch Linkage creaking

  www.renparts.co.uk
So ive took the car into renault (3rd time) its on 36k and the creaking and stifness of the clutch appears to be where the cable end links onto the linkage for the clutch assembly, if they bull s**t me tomorrow where do i stand, could i just remove the gaitor part and spray some lube in there or is the clutch on its way out. Last time they said renault were prepared to make a contribution but it would be 300 quid that i would have to pay regarless for the clutch to be inspected (taking the gearbox out jobby). End of the day its on 36k and has been creaking since 20k, i know how to use a clutch properly its warranty doesn't run out till jan next year, surely it should be covered?

Mine is doing the same!
When u lift the clutch does it seem to stick near the biting point, and then suddenly lift up? Wasnt sure if it was just sticky due to the hot weather or summat tho?

Yes very non progressive, i know the clio clutches are a lil bit On/off but my brothers 1.2 and my mates 1.4 identical to mine is a whole lot better.

Whatever you do don't spray anything under the gator as it'll just spray all over the clutch and that'll finish it off.

After having my clutch/gearbox issues a few weeks ago I can tell you getting the gearbox out is no mean feat.
The trouble with warrenty is they'll argue its a consumable item which is why I did mine myself, though in the end I may have been covered because it was gearbox fault that killed it the clutch itself was fine bar its oil coating.

The clutches themself aren't the most progressive thing in the world, my 1.2 was the same but neither of them stuck at all was still smooth travel on the 1.2 and the 1.6 both on the old and new clutch.
