  Renault clio 2012
Hi all,
Recently I think i damaged the clutch pedal switch on my renault clio 2012.
Now my cruise control does not work, but the car drives fines, brake lights work and reverse lights also work.

I took out my switch, but im not able to pull the plunger forward. One of the manuals says it should be 19mm to 20mm out.

But im confused on the process on putting the switch back into my clutch bracket.

Do i depress the clutch pedal fully down, then put in the switch, then lift the clutch back up.

Or do i just put the clutch switch into the clutch bracket while the clutch is up. But if i do this the clutch switch will get pressed in when i insert it?

OR does it not matter which way i do it lol.

I have fixed that damaged bit on the switch by using pliers, but the plunger feels like the problem now

If i missed anything or u have any extra information pls let me know!!

Any help will be very appreciated.
Thankyou!!!

The clutch pedal switch shouldn't require pliers at all, nor the brake pedal one either.

I replaced both of mine a few months back and it was literally a few seconds of a twist and remove, then disconnect from the wire.

For the record, I managed to get both the cruise control and speed limiter lights working once again from the switch on the lower dash when I swapped the switches over - but neither function correctly. Limiter doesn't set and neither does cruise.

I think for me, the issue is elsewhere.
