Clutch Problem! HELP!!!!

Ok i was driving down the road yesterday and my car juddered then the clutch went light, so i drove the car home without the aid of the clutch. At home a noticed the tensioner had broke on the top of the pedal so todayi purchased a new pedal for it, after fitting it, it felt ok but wouldnt go in gear easy after a fight it would do making the engine eventually cut out because the clutch was slipping, if you know what i mean. Then a put some washers onto the box end of the cable to tighten it a little but when i pressed the pedal the cable come out of the top of it. any ideas what could be wrong, the cable is only 11 month old and doesnt seem to be strecthed or anything i just put the box on the engine and put the engine in about 2 week ago.

Thanks in advance

Rob

Woah u got 11 months out of your cable, well done!! Mine lasted about 6 month and 3000 miles mate! Try a new cable, good luck fitting it!

BEEN TOLD SOMETHING ABOUT REMOVING A STOP SO THE PEDAL LIFTS HIGHER TIGHTENS MORE THEN PUT THE STOP BACK, IL TELL U SOMETHING ME AND MY MATE PUT A 2L ENGINE IN MY CLIO AND THIS CLUTCH CABLE HAS STRESSED ME MORE THEN THAT DID

I fitted 3 damn clutch cables to a Ren5 I had once and each one lasted about 3 weeks! The last one i did I made sure it wasnt snagged and exactly as it should be (as i did the others). Later I was told Renault had a problem with the whole pedal assembley and cable etc. they then told me they would fix it free of charge as it was a recall! How many other problems are they hiding and waiting for us to find out?

I got the new pedal assembly on mine. Its thicker metal too as the old ones bend easy and snap the cables. Think they are £30. Cost me about £110 to have new cable, pedal and labour.
