Clutch Problems

Ok, so my clutch gave up on me today.

Won't go into gear and pedal is very loose and then when pressed down almost all way thats when it stiffen's, When it's pressed all the way down there is a screeching noise (release bearing?) No matter what i do it wont go into gear.

Is it just the clutch kit i need? Should i change the cable aswell? Pedal was nice and firm well perfect before it happened today.

Have you checked the cable is in situ??

Yes mate. it's still attached. It whines bad when it's full pressed in/down.

Clutch release bearing gone through the pressure plate fingers (if thats what they are called??)

New clutch kit needed and yes i would change the cable it makes the overall pedal feel alot better/softer! but use a genuine cable not the cheap crappy copies

Yeah cheap aftermarket ones never fit right either wrong length or poor fit an tbh genuine ones are cheap enough.
