Clutch resistance

I am getting some resistance through my clutch pedle i.e it feels like it is sticking/notchy and its starting to make a noise. I pretty sure its not the clutch itself but the mechanism in the footwell!

has anyone had/fixed a similar problem or taken a look at the mechanism in the footwell? as you push down the clutch it pivots and a spring loaded mechanism moves left to right.... does anyone know where the noise is coming from i guess its the resistance at one of the pivots which one should i grease and what should i use WD40?

help:sick:

My 172 does it as well. Think its a common thing to have the grinding/sticky/scrathy feeling in the pedal. Not bothered to get mine checked, but it feels like its either a catching in the wire or the bearing for the pedal
