cobra fob problems

can anyone help me with my alarm fob, i have a 172 fitted with a cobra system, the fob started playing up yesterday so i changed the battery now it's not working at all now?????

It may sound like an obvious/daft question, but did you put the battery/cells in the correct way round...?

yes, the LED is flashing away, not sure if it should be solid though.
