Code reader where is the plug for it

Hi I have looked high and low and I cannot find the plug to plug in code reader on my 172 phase 2 or I must be blind as a bat can anyone help please.

Diagnostic connection is under the ashtray on my 182, presume yours is the same.

yeah my mk2 1.6 is behind the ashpan
