Coilover fitting - Midlands - £

  SLK 350
Got my FK Konigs coming in the next two weeks all being well, and basically im looking for some help, in the shape of:

A - Someone who knows how to fit coils, who owns the correct tooling like spring compressors.
B - A garage recommendation, who won't charge ridiculous sums of money, around Hinckley/Nuneaton/Leicester/Coventry.

If someone has the right clobber and would be available for a few hours to help me, then obviously you'll get a cuppa, a biscuit of choice and some cash for helping me out.

Failing that anybody know anywhere decent to get them fitted?

Cheers.

Fronts wont require a compressor will they? Should bolt straight in. As for rears I dont know what they are like, but my sportslines went in with a bit if persuasion.

Not sure mate, can't say i've ever really got my hands dirty changing struts and springs. In principle it sounds easy, but i don't want to be caught short by not having the right tools for the job.

My Koni's and eibachs should come off easily enough, but just worried i'd hit obstacles.

Based at Hinckley mate.

If you can do it and get it setup for £50 then that sounds ideal. Is there any tooling required above the ordinary? Do you need spring compressors or anything?

So literally pull the Koni's off, fit the coils..and va va voom?

Figured they'd be something specialist about fitting them though, obviously need to get the setup correct, and get tracking aligned...surely it can't be that easy?

setting up the camber and ride height is the bit you need to know what you're doing on

the rest is easy peasy

After fitted you should go corner weighting the car. Don't know if anyone here gives this kind of service, but is the main thing way coilovers are a must!

For the road corner weighting can be a bit OTT imo.

Yes it can but it's the main reason why to go coilovers! Weight distribution is critical when it comes to handling. Ok, a clio handles pretty good from std but it can go even better :D
