  Ollie's Silver Cup

However, thought it sensible to check the hole spacing before doing anything with them. The kit was ordered for a 172 cup, but I've received 60mm spacing :(

Going to make a call when they open this morning; I'm assuming only the fronts need changing as rears are the same regardless of 172/cup/182 and 182 cup? :)

Corby motorsport; I've just spoken to them.

I explained the fact that 172, 172 cup and 182's should have 54mm spacing, with the 182 cup having 60mm spacing...only to be told that all sport's have the same hole spacing :banghead:

Stating again that 172 cup should have 54mm spacing and not the 60mm spacing I've received from a 182 cup, I was told again they're all the same, but they'll contact Gaz on Monday and take it from there.

I think the list they're looking at must be wrong, as it's listing same hole spacing for all sport models. The guy was very helpful though, so fingers crossed it won't be long until it's sorted.

LOL, so they're right because their computer said so. I would have loved to have had that conversation.

Gutted :( Unlucky, so they said all sports have the same spacing regardless of the cup suspension?

Yeah, they said all Clio Sport's have the same hole spacing lol!

I'm assuming it must be Gaz's spec list that's incorrect, as reading through their fitment list they list the same product code for all Clio Sport's later than 2001.

Hopefully GAZ will be quieter at this time of year and sort it quickly. It took them 13 weeks to make my custom set :(

No way could I do 13 weeks; 3 weeks and 1 day was horrible waiting lol!

Send them back and get the K-Tec package ;)

lol I'll give them a chance to sort it :)

I've had a look through the corby motorsport application list too and I think that's where the issue has come from. It also contradicts what they said about all the suspension being the same too lol

They list the same product code (GHA336) when looking at kits for both Clio Sport 172 and 182 models.

The product code for 182 cup/cup packed Clios is GHA366

They have 172 cup listed as GHA366 also, when I'm guessing it should be GHA336. So, it appears they've ordered the wrong kit?

Hope you get this sorted, will be interested to hear your reviews on the GAZ.

I wasn't 100% on ordering them, seeing as they get mixed reviews on here. However, I had a Ford before my Clio, where they were rated highly, so thought I'd give them a go :)

Just hoping it's sorted quickly, which I'm sure it will be

hello mate, i orderd from the same place but they were great, they knew exactly the difference as i explained to them id had some fk coilovers from rimstyle and they had sent me the wrong ones which i had to send back, weird to hear this as corby were great when i orderd mine as no probs and correct ones sent first time....

I'm assuming they acknowledged there's differences in hole spacing then?

I can see from their website now that they list the same model code for a 172 cup as they do for a 182 cup (GHA366) which I'm assuming is the problem as they're not the same

There's a different product code (GHA336) listed for kits for 172's and 182's and I'm assuming this is the kit that fits the 172 cup too

So far, the customer service has been great, so like I say, I'm sure it will be resolved quickly :)

yea mate they did strate away, as i was fuming with rimstyle for messing it up i made sure i explained to them i had cup packs and needed cup fittment and he knew exactly what i was on about and that the cup and cup pack have different spacing, so im very surprised your having this problem to be honest mate, i couldnt recomend them highly enough as kept me upto date when i rang them asking how long it would be, but i supose it just shows ya cant go from one persons opinions of a company

hope you get it sorted, they defo know the difference so i just imagine its a mistake theyv made and guess theyl sort it for you asap
i think its just a man and woman who run corby as when you call them im sure its all ran from their own home, wer both reli great whoever i spoke to

Was a guy I spoke to this morning; he seemed very willing to help, etc :)

I'm in no doubt it will be sorted by them

Is it the GHA kit you're running? How are you finding it?

Yea it is mate and i find them fine. A lot of people hate gaz...ive not used any orhers bit i like the way mine rides, ive got it set to the softesr setting
front and back and it was a bit
bumpy when it was on the stiffer setting lol

  Ollie's Silver Cup
How much adjustability is there, does it allow it go from very soft to very hard? I think it states 42 points for the rear and I think 12 on the fronts?

Update on this; Mike from Corby motorsport has just phoned.

Gaz have said they supplied the correct kit for a 172 cup! They've said that 172 cup and 182 cup share the 60mm hole spacing :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

They can change them to 54mm hole spacing, by swapping the casing, however that will incur a cost to me. So all in all, completely pissed off by it!

Corby motorsport have given me the contact number for Mark Gazzard, so I can discuss it with them!

I'm certain I'm correct, but just to make sure, 172 cups definitely use 54mm hole spacing, correct?

Basically, this won't fit a 172 cup?

My experience of Gaz, even before fitting, is that I shouldn't have bothered! lol

^^^^ correct 172 cup is 54mm

where are the ajuster knobs on the front coilies???

They're on the top; they supplied a key which sits on top and allows the adjustment :)

Looks like I'll have to argue the point with Gaz tomorrow then; they're producing suspension for the cars, without ever making sure they fit?! Awesome :D

  Ollie's Silver Cup
See if you can get one of their sales monkeys to register on here lol Worth a try eh!

I've got their number, so will be giving them a call tomorrow :argue:

I certainly didn't expect this when ordering; I was annoyed when they arrived with the incorrect hole spacing, but now they're claiming it's correct, it's becoming a bit of a nightmare TBQFH

Wow... I've never heard a bad word about GAZ stuff... every forum i'm on they're rated highly!

They're cheap for GAZ stuff though.

I've got the K Tec setup and it's very good... if that's any concelation to you... I'd just send them back... don't need the sress!

  M2 Competition
Go to their shop and make them f**king acknowledge it! They can take the goods back, they ordered you the wrong ones, simple. That or get them to fit them, see how that goes down when they dont fit.

And then buy the ktec coilies, better than the hard gaz s**te anyways.

  TTRS & V50
Seems to be an annoying situation, just get a refund and get some v-MAx. 172 cup is 54mm end of, no umms and arrs about it.
