Coilovers - ktec or v-maxx

I'm ordering some coilovers this week for my 172 cup - and was wondering what the general opinion is between the Ktec-Racing stuff and the V-maxx I've seen on ebay

Are they both about the same range in height??

Also I've read that the KTR ones come with built in camber adjustment - what does that do?

Cheers for any help :)

Iirc vmaxx have camber adjstment too, at least mine do. I can't compare the two but my vmaxx have been fine for me. I'd buy them again.

I love my ktecs, They have indeed amazed me.

Way id look at it is that id rather go with ktec as if some thing goes tips up you can talk directly to ktec rather then a v-maxx re-seller ect.

yeah thats a good point nothing like being able to talk to someone direct at end of phone

Righto - cheers guys

The feeling I get reading through old threads is everyone is happy with both - but yeah k-tec being uk based and I can drive down there if I have any problems swings it for me I think

Better give them a ring on friday and see if I can get the club discount :D

Having had both, it's K-tec for me too. Just seem all round better built, and as you say, much easier to deal with being based in the UK.

Oh sweet - you've had both

That's sold it for me then

Can't wait to get fitting them :D

Is there a thread on here that explains what the camber adjustment thing is and how it works?
Is it something I can setup when fitting or do I need to go somewhere special to get it all setup
I need the tracking doing anyway but waiting till the coilovers are on lol

It's a bolt with a washer on it and a U shaped bracket welded onto the strut. It simply means that as you turn the bolt clockwise or anti-clockwise it pushes the base of the strut in/out accordingly.
You can get it roughly the same each side, but to be right it really needs a full professional alignment.

Rears just bolt on really.
