Whats the big deal with coilovers? (bearing in mind I'm a beginner, still learning about all this stuff) Are they worth £600-700?

coilovers are a better suspension/shocks system set up , when set up correctly , you sit lower , harder ,firmer on the road , giving better cornering speed than the normal set up , they are worth that amount .

Am I right in saying you can alter the height when you want? But you have to mess about with taking the wheels off everytime you do so?

yes that is true i believe , ie the setup
