Coilovers

What were those new coilovers that were posted on here a few months ago? Just curious what progress there was in getting them on the market and at what price.

Tried to search but cant find what they are called

there was the GDI kit or the AST ones.

its gone quiet on the AST front at the mo, and not sure if anyone has had the GDI setup fitted yet.

Neal and Andrew are having the GDI kit fitted at the moment iirc. Neal182 and homer simpson are their usernames. I've driven the kit for about 1000 miles on Andy's demo car and it's simply unreal on both road and track imo. Worth the trip down there to be taken out in them, very impressive.

Cheers Will see what they post on here after the kits are fitted. I've contacted powerstation before, are they making the coilovers or just the UK reps for them?

Just looked on the AST site and they are the same

Powerstation are the uk sole distributors for the AST's. Thye are all built and put together in holland then shipped here.I am the one testing them at the mo. As far as im aware you can order them now and can choose or specify spring weights when they arrive. Am very very impressed with them. a massive improvement over the standard setup. let me know if you want any more info.

Apart from when they came to fit them on the customers cars they didnt fit and could have half a degree neg camber and 4 deg positive!!!! not great!!!

I was talking about the first lot that were made. the brackets were made wrong ive been told and instead of loads of neg camber they had loads of pos camber! homer simpson told me they were remakin them! be good to here what they turn out like.

it was the camber bolts m8 Andy had them made stronger to make shore they would cope with the curbs on track i think he has had some new ones made up i need to speak to him and find out when the car will be ready i may have been that the trophy has got a slightly different hub as well but i have not really spoken to Andy about them in grate detail

h & r have a good reputation so would think you should be very pleased with them

H&R / Bilstein are great shocks... excellent value for money IMO

Eibac springs and dampers. GDi/YS/MSW all sell them. It's what i'd do for sure.

:approve: just got the car back from gdi very happy with the way it handles on the road i will find out what it is like on track on November the 10th but its good so far :approve: off for some more road testing tomorrow

will do its in just under two weeks at silverstone you and Andy are more than welcome to pop over and see how the two cars are going i can wait now and it will be interesting to see how neal's car performs with the slick setup on his car
