Coilovers??

  PH2 172
Thinking of getting another 172 cup again and thinkign of going down the coilover route unlike my old 1 which was on apex springs. Iv been looking at FK highsport coilovers as im set to a £500 budget are these any good etc??

I think they are ok. Kinda no mans land, not low nor high range. Have you thought about K-Tec coils?

they are supposed to be pretty good from people i've spoke to. They use koni dampers which can't be a bad thing as the koni sport kits are supposed to be very good on the clio's.

ooops i'm thinking of fk konigports not highsports ignore me.

For £300 V-Maxx are worth a pop IMO.

Yes they are cheap but all of us who have had them have been impressed.

if you stretch a bit more for the konigsports you get adjustable damping and height so they are much better suited if you want to use your car on track as well as road. Its all down to what the car will be used for. just looking at your avatar it looks like you have done track before.

I'm also looking at v-maxxxx

What are those raceland efforts i've heard mentioned, they're s**t surely?

Yea been on track a few time but that wqas only on apex springs wasnt to bad to be honest but wouldnt mind coilovers im going to use it for road/ few track days but only at like shows etc so not to much to be fair.

I had konigsports on my 172 (now for sale ;)), really rate them. On the softest damping the ride's no worse than standard suspension then just stiffen them up for the track :)
