Cold air feed for Maxogen???

  Monaro VXR/Cupra TDi
Noticed the air that's drawn into the carbon air box is from the engine bay. Ok, a cooler part of the bay near the battery, but still not as cool as it could be?

Anyone who has the ITG Maxogen kit fitted, are you using a cold air feed system? If so does it work, beneficial?

Many thanks.:)

If you have removed all the pipewok etc you should be able to see black grill at the bottom, below intake.
Slots are angled to feed air up as you move.

Thanks for the info Steve.

I didn't fit the Maxogen, left it to Rentech. Believe Mike followed the instructions.

It's just that the funnel of the box looks exposed to the bay. This is drawing air from directly around it? Can't be that good?

It points towards the coldest part of the engine.

People get too hung up on heat soak. Only happens when your in heavy traffic or stationary
