Cold gearbox

been snowing down here and took the misss to work. noticed the gearbox is a little difficult to get in gears. Iv had it before when its cold, fine when its hotter. there are no noises or anything and gearbox oil is fine.

just wondering what makes that happen when its cold.

cheers

as above, the oil will be thicker so there is a chance of gearchanges being a little notchy until it warms up a bit.

ideal, thought it would be something like that. i do a lot of short trips, so when its cold i drive around a bit more so it gets the oil going through it a bit.
