[h=2]Cold running issues[/h]
I've used the search function and I think it touches on a few things. My ph2 172 has started playing up. No immobiliser light problems, won't start when cold, turn the key and hold it in the start position, nothing happens for about 30sec then it fires up. Might be a bad earth or lazy starter. When running cold you can hear the dephaser, which goes away when warming up ( all belts and pulleys done 5k ago, do they start making noises so soon and should i be concerned)?When driving cold it backfires and farts and hiccups in and around the 2k mark and even cuts out. When it cuts out its very hard to start and even sounds strange and vibrates differently when turning over. When its up to temp its perfect! Wtf!! Doesn't do it all the time, just now and again. Any of the experts out there shed any light on this. No warning lights on dash when it starts playing up. Took it to a fella who looked at me like I was mad! By the time you get it to him it's up to temp and perfect! Can the dephaser pulley cause a Clio to mes about when worn? Any help would be very much appreciated.
