cold start up problem

Lately during this cold snap, My 172 is not really getting driven at all and staying on the driveway. When i come to actually using the car turning the engine over, the car sounds like the battery has died the first time. But then turning it over again starts perfectly fine?

Anyone else had this problem, or isit just the lack of use and the weather causing the struggling start?

Probably the battery is on its way out? Gets a hammering at the mo what with cold engine, heater, stereo, lights etc on al the time... give it a charge and see if the problem persists?
