Just been quoted £300 for front and rear bumpstrips, and side strips. This doesn't include spoiler and door handles. Said he would need the car for three days as well.

mate... its so so easy to do it yourself!

Especially the door strips and handles! It ALL in the preperation! Depends if you have that sort of money!

Its weather I would be able to get the colour to match exactly. The paint shop I went to is very good at what they do. MIght just get one section done every month.

Holts spray was a perfect match for my monaco blue, couple coats high build primer and a couple coats of monaco with primer and they are perfect.

mine were done including my spoiler for 120 but i supplied the paint

Just out of interest, and sorry for hijacking, did you drop your car off and they did all the removal and refitting, or did you have to strip the parts off
first?

took parts off and then gave them him,he kept for 3 days,i have done a guide in the guides section as to how to remove

i've been "quoted" £115 for RS rep skirts, bump stripes and ph2 rear bumper - by a friend with family in the errr 'spraying industry'

Did the bump stripes myself a few months ago, but not exactly perfect colour match and defiantly not the same gloss finish as the real body work, so imo worth paying for quality unless you have a spray gun or something.

What?

Hey

Thanks for the replies :)

I dont beleive im confident enough to try it myself so will phone a few garages and get some prices. In the mean time I was just wondering if anyone knew a garage or a friend or even themselfs in the oxfordshire area that could do such a job.

Take Care

its quite easy to get the colour right if you have a darker colour car...

i have pearl black and iv done so so many bumpstrips via the can, that they come out beautiful. The trick is in the preperation.

Sand down your side strips...
prime...
sand
prime...
sand
and eventually the will look and feel just like unpainted RS ones that you buy from renault for like 172683 pound each.

Take your time with the colour and spray in somewer with perfect conditions!

lots of laquer at the end too!

  A white and black one
My plastic bumpers and side strips and spoiler are been done at the moment, going to be under 60quid i think for the lot
