Colour Coding - How Much

  Hondata'd EP3 Type R
Hi, I was looking at upgrading my 04 Dynamique in October, But have decided to keep saving up and keep the clio another year or two.

I'm toying with the idea of some suble modifications (here we go again :(), Was thinking of lowering it on 17" Turinis, Getting The windows tinted and colour coding it.

Just wondering ( I have searched) How much it would cost to colour code the bump strips, Door handles, Mirror surrounds and front and rear bumpers. I'd like them smoothed rather then left textured.

Just wondered how much I could expect to pay for this, So I know I'm not getting my pants pulled down when I get some quotes.

Thanks

diy FTW!!

if you arent confident i'd go to the breakers and get some door strips, mirrors etc etc and see how it goes when you sand and paint them yourself

Ive just reprayed my bumpers, did a fine job i must say:), diy it if you can be bothered, will be alot cheaper.

I am spraying some side badges at the moment, prep was fine, only issue was sanding around the letters etc and tbh I havent managed to remove all the texture there, side strips would be easier from that point of view. Primer goes on easy and I think would be impossible to get wrong tbh. Just put the black gold paint on and can see how people would go wrong at that point, but as long as you take your time should be fine. As for the lacquer stage, i'll let you know ;)

I wet flatted my laquer with 2000 grit paper, for that glass like smoothness:)

dont get your mirror base plates sprayed you need the black to break them up if thats what you mean by mirror surrounds ! :)

Its not too bad to do your self, very happy with how my old 1.2 came out, although as menthioned above, do remeber that even when spraying layer apon layer of clear coat you wont get that instant deep shine, will need 2,500-3000 grit wet & dry to remove the over spray, then move onto polishing ;)

This was done in the back garden on the black & decker work mate :)
