Colour-coding question

Hi,

Anyone have any idea what sort of price id be looking at to get the black plastic bits on my dynamique sprayed in cherry red (metallic pearl) to match the paintwork? Dont fancy attacking it with a halfords spray can to be honest!

Anyone know of any good/cheap bodyshops round west london to get this done at?

cant help u on the bodyshops bit but i was quoted £120 to colour code the strips on front bumper, rear bumper, sides of car and door handles. Another fella quoted me £70.

Oh and wudnt recommend the halfords spray can thing as it would probably turn out a nice shade of pink.

i paid 300 bills for all the lot....front bumperstrip,bottom valance,sides strips,handles and back spoiler, i also had a second spoiler fitted and sprayed so that would of inched the price up abit.

aye, some places charge 60 quid for a spoiler so i suppose that price wasnt too bad!

p.s, whats the sprayed splitter bit at the bottom like? i was gonna get mine sprayed but was sorta put off by it when i drove into a kerb one nite whilst not lookin where i was goin

the splitter looks good, not had any problems with it but sayin that ive not lowered yet so may be a problem.

Ive just had a quote to get side bump strips, front and rear bumper strips and M3 mirrors painted for £150.

Not sure Ill bother with the handles cause I fear they may be tricky and might be quite easy to chip off/damage?!?!

Anyone know if the 172 handles will fit on a dynamique??

dont get it done on the cheap make sure its baked ect. other wise you will find the paint falling off. mine cost £450 at a renault approved bodyshop(had it done when warranty work was carried out hence c.car),looks really nice and will stay looking nice.pics soon

heres a home made paint jobbie. did the mirrors ages ago and still shine nicely. just done me skirts. they were black and after a few halfords colour match spray paints and the correct prepping, this is the out come. they were black off an old RSi, but now they have a new life

Although most of halfords stuff is complete cack thats over priced , at least the sprays are reasonably ok.

If u got the time, do it like this, itll save u bucks.

cheers for the replies peeps, gonna have to give it some thought and phone around... deffo wont be paying 450 notes for it tho!!

never been shy to break out the halfords sprays on my other cars, but the clio is the newest car ive had, and is metallicy so im not gonna go near it with paint cans!! lol

The place I am going to is supposed to be a good one, been recommened and they wanted £150 to include mirrors, so thats probabky about right from what I have heard others say.

Did get a quote from a renault approved place a while back and think that was about £300?!?
