column switch toggle button faulty?

had a quick search but couldnt find if anyone had had the same fault.

basically, the toggle button on the end of the wiper column switch doesnt seem to be working.

therfore i cant skip through to see the mpg on the trip computer display on the dashboard.

is there a simple solution to this or is it a new column switch?

by the way, everything else is working so i dont think its the battery??

how should i do that? will i have to remove the casing under the steering wheel and then pull the column switch out?

Yep thats it take it out and have a fiddle with multimeter etc.
