common problems on 200's

hey guys ive just bought a clio 200 ff and i have done all the usual checks i did use to be a mechanic and it does seem all good i was wondering if there was anything particular to look out for on these though car has full renault history and it was last done in jan on 37k car has now done 39k

Exhaust manifolds, seat bolster wear if they have recaros, gearboxes, keyless entry buttons on door handles and ball joints, front brake pads/caliper pins can be problematic.

Hi Terry check the top engine mount, on the left side, push the rubber if it moves get it changed also get the gearbox oil changed asap the renault stuff is like brown gunge, make sure the tyres are good and oe spec not linglongs cause dealers love fitting ditchfinders.

thanks ian is it a pig to get the gearbox oil changed or is it better to just go to the garage ? and its got new conti's all round

It is you will need a ramp and a pump give james a ring on 01206871187 he does mine for me. Suzanne and i looked at an r8 at essex audi £89000 with two new budgets on the front lol.:slap:
