Compensation

Right - another moan about renault....basically i put my valver in for a new rack about 6 WEEKS AGO and still dont have it back yet. Had a courtesy car for the last 2.5 weeks and its seriously pissing me off now as im sure the bill will be 4 figures (needed a new alternator bracket too) so im wondering...

...am i due compensation for so much invenience?

I think so as 6 weeks is highly unreasonable but what do you all think i should do?

Doubt it as theyve lent you a courtesy car. Speak to them about when the repairs will be done and if youre not happy with the time frame, or they say 2 weeks and its still not done, then take the car elsewhere.

Already spoke to them...theyre still waiting on a rack to come off back order and cannot give me a definate date. This is actually the second rack to come off back order as the first one was faulty! I tried asking them to go local for parts which they can normally do but as this is a parts replacement they must wait for the back-order one... No chance of shifting my car to another garage because im told its in bits at the mo....

what can they do? if renault dont send the part.................if its not that dealer you have to wait even longer at another one

count yourself lucky you got a car off em

I was hoping that theyd just go locally (ie non Renault) in which case theyd have it within a few days....Im sure theyd have a customer needing a rack all too soon so they wouldnt loose out...

Probably right tho about them not being able to do anything but theyve hardly been helpful or being showing initiative in regard to my repairs....ah well...!

well thats part of renaults customer service plan.

dont be helpful (unless you work for renault uk)

lol! True, thinking that to make up it im going to try and get a laugh at their expense when i get it back...my mate said that when i come to pay for it, say i thought this would be a warranty repair....why else would i take my valver to you?

A 10 year old car - the look on their faces would be priceless....lol
