computer geek help!!!

I'm trying to format my laptop. Have all the discs, but I cannot make my Pc boot from disc and enter Windows XP Setup.

I've accessed BIOS and instructed the PC to boot from disc drive but it just loads up Windows...

does it not even come up with "press any button to boot from CD" ??

or somethin along them line?

have u told it to boot from cd drive before hard drive,

and told it to save the settings

also does it say cdrom boot....failed refering to no cd boot record

it was me being a hurried and unobservant div in BIOS.

All formatted and like new now! Great. Thanks for the links and suggestions fellas/geeks.
