Computer won't recognise RSTuner

Need a bit of help. It's supposed to install everything automatically, which it's not doing. 'Can't install drivers' comes up so I can't actually get onto the RSTuner interface to use it. Has anyone had a similar problem, and how did you solve it?

Did you download the update from the rs tuner site?

It's a new-style RS Tuner with the latest software/firmware. It's just that the driver won't install on my laptop automatically, and there's no driver download on his website to do it manually :dapprove:

IIRC there's a guide on the website with pictures on how to do it? Or have you read that.

I've read it about 3 times. It says 'locate where you downloaded the VCI drivers to', but there is no way of downloading the VCI drivers that is apparent.

Hmm strange one. Best bet would be to fire Henk an email he is really helpful.

I've already got an R-Sport ECU fitted, revs up to 7850rpm :rasp: I want it to bang though haha.

Not very lol. Even on the rolling road yesterday, he backed off at 7500!

Ticking time bomb that high up the rev range even at 7500 they sound strained maby it's just me.

Sorted it now. Had to get someone else to send me the VCI drivers, but it still didn't work. Eventually I had to restart my laptop, press F8 before it booted, choose 'Disable Driver Signature Enforcement' from the boot menu and try again. It then worked... it was to do with Windows trying to find the right drivers automatically on Windows 7. At least there's a solution for anyone who may have the same problem in the future thanks to all that helped in here and PM.

Cheers Greeny, managed to make use of the driver you sent me in the end. Didn't want to risk using the .cals though and it being the wrong one for my car, so ended up purchasing one from Fastchip.

Hey dude sorry to ask a random question but did you get a free map when buying a rs tuner from fast chip

I bought it used, but if you buy a new one, there is a performance map on the RS Tuner that you can use.
