cone air filter

am thinking on putting a cone air filter on my 172 sport on a 02,

just wanted to no if any one has dun this and has noticed any changes in the power, coz not sure if it will need setting up, coz of the change in the air flow???

Alot of people say you wont see any increase in power but some do. An encosed one will see more power gains though. And you wont need to 'set anything up' either.

If its gonna sit where the standard airbox is then all it will suck in is hot air from the radiator..........................

if i was you i would get a full induction kit with a cold air feed - cold air = better combustion = better performance.....as much better as you can get from induction kit bear in mind its not a turbo!
