Connecting laptop to old TV

Hey y'all!

I'm getting quite frustrated here now :evil: I need to view my laptop's screen on my TV, its a flatscreen TV but a cathode one with the deep back so its a bit dated :dapprove:

The TV has scart inputs and the red, white & yellow inputs.

What cable do I need to connect my laptop to the TV?



PLEEEEASE help before I smash them both up in rage! lol

What connections does your lappy have? Do you have SVHS?

it has a 15 pin thingy, a hdmi one, usb and another which looks like a phone line sort of connection hole

sorry for lack of info, I'm not 'up to speed' with tech, wish I was

If the 15 pin is a VGA and not a serial port, then that'll do the job

thanks mate but where the funk does the other end go!? The 15 pin one in the lappy, then what about the other end, I only have scart and red, white, yellow inputs?????

You need either a s-video to composite adapter or something similar for VGA if they exist.

my uncle uses something similar for karaoke on the tv from his laptop.
