Connecting PS3 to new wireless network - Help please

This is going to sound incredibly dumb.

I set the Ps3 up to the wirseless network in my previous house, I remember doing it, but now I'm in my new house with new wireless network, I can't for the life of me find how to connect to it.

I'm sure I just selected it from a list last time, but I can't seem to find the list of networks anywhere.

Which settings is it under?

I'm in there, but it's saying no access point is detected.

I'm on the net on my lap top, so I'm a bit confused as to why it won't pick up the wireless network?

I'm connected now, but it doesn't seem to want to download the system update.

I bloody hate technology, lol.

hmmmmm, firewalls / router access permissons?

I just stick with good, honest hardwires when it comes to the PS3

I wish I could just hard wire it.

There shoudl be no issue with access because of passwords etc, it seems to be the PS3 which isn't connecting / maintaing the connection. No clue why though?
