connecting the ps3 to the net (wireless)

tryin to set the ps3 to the net using 3 broadband but it just aint happening im following what is says in the ps3 manuel but then it fails on the connection test.

what am i doing wrong

For a start you could tell us what part of the connection test it fails at perhaps?

Also explain how your connecting the BB to it, you talking about a 3G stick?

it fails when it says "test connection" at the end, im not very good with stuff like this as you can tell lol

yeah its the broadband stick dongle thing.

If your plugging in the 3 stick to the PS3, it wont work.

Not that i've ever seen one but im guessing you plug it into the PC then connect the PS3 wirelessly through that??

Its a small usb dongle and i'm guessing he's trying to plug it into the PS3's usb port... which wont work.

It would need to plug into a PC, then set up a gateway connection.

ive plugged it into the laptop and i can get the net on there no problems but when i try and connect the ps3 to the net it wont do it, and it always fails on trying to obtain the ip addresss

Yes, we are aware that the 3g stick will work in your laptop..

Where are you plugging the stick when you try to connect the PS3 to the net ?
