If they got thread locker on maybe but dont take my word for it. Sump plugs are only sometimes 27nm haha

Seems about right to me, remember they are only M8.

No, do not use thread locker.

And if the OP is fitting AP rod bolts then you must use the tube of lube that comes with the bolts.

ARP rod bolts are M9 and torqued to 42ft-lbs or 57Nm.

That process is NLR if you use the ARP Ultra-Torque lube that comes with the bolts now.
