Considering trading R27 in for Clio V6 255

  Glacier White 200
I'm considering trading my 57 plate R27 in for an 05 plate V6.

I'd like some opinions from owners of Phase 2 V6's as to how practical the car is day to day and how well the car handles on roads both in the wet and dry.

Also daily fuel consumption would be useful i.e motorway averages and around town.

I'm not interested in responses from 172/182 owners who have not owned a 197 or V6. This is a request for owners of Phase 2 V6's or 197 owners who have had experience at driving a Phase 2 V6.

Thanks.

on a run they can get 35mpg. so should equal your 197.

I was considering going the opposite way but I just could not put up with the boring ness of a car that looks like nearly every other clio onj the road, although the R27 seems to be a biut more special over the normal poverty spec ones!

Tough choice.

The V6 is older and wont be as nice a place to sit. However the looks of the V6 are still awsome.

Good luck with whatever you choose

I average around 24mpg around town, more on motorways. I use mine as a daily drive and it's practical enough for me, can be a bit of a pain with the rubbish turning circle and lowness though, you have to be careful where you take it and park it. And it handles well enough for me, need to be more careful in the wet but I can't say I've ever had any issues with it, despite what people say on here!

mine averages 18mpg but mines my daily driver so its just town driving to work and blasting round when the mood takes me!

parking is a pain with it being so wide and the turning circle being rubbish, if you park in a normal space with two cars either side you struggle to get out with the doors being huge.

You prob wont find it as chuckable in the corners as your R27 and i havnt really had a decent dry day since owning it to give it much stick so i'm just being carefull in the wet for now!

Thanks for the info. If I think of anything else to ask I'll post it up!

May also consider a 350Z or the new 370Z as we are interested in getting a rear wheel drive sports car....

Just depends on cost and insurance for two people to drive it...
